The local office in Wels has existed for seven decades now and sees itself as a motivated supporter of the neighboring local offices. Representative tasks such as representing the mountain rescue service at the Retter Fair and at the Upper Austrian Safety Days are also part of their duties. In addition to young, committed alpinists and experienced mountaineers, Upper Austria's first mountain rescue woman is also part of the task force.
